America 250 and 4th of July Activities

As Washington, DC prepares to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary, Conrad Washington, DC invites guests to experience a summer-long celebration of Americana, hospitality, and local culture. Throughout the season, the hotel will feature festive activations inspired by the spirit of the nation from elevated culinary experiences and patriotic décor to live entertainment, family-friendly programming, and curated moments that celebrate the flavors, creativity, and stories of America.

Throughout the summer, guests are invited to take in elevated Americana-inspired décor, including a American flag installation crafted from dried and preserved red, white, and blue florals.

Yala Greek Ice Cream Summer Pop-Up Shop (starting on June 14 through September 7)
Cool off with a seasonal Americana-inspired pop-up featuring handcrafted Greek frozen treats from beloved DC favorite, Yala Greek Ice Cream. Exclusively at Conrad Washington, DC, enjoy a limited-edition America 250-inspired flavor “Pursuit of Happiness”, created especially for the celebration and available only at the hotel’s pop-up location throughout the summer season. Open from 8:00 am – 9:00 pm, daily.

CityCenter Sculpture Garden

Just steps from the hotel, guests can experience A Wild Race Against Time, a free, immersive public art exhibition at CityCenterDC by internationally acclaimed artists, and husband and wife Gillie and Marc

On display from June through November 2026, the exhibition features monumental bronze sculptures of endangered animals including pandas, polar bears, giraffes, rhinos, gorillas, and more placed throughout the district in playful, interactive scenes that invite visitors to sit, pose, and engage with the artwork. 

Beyond its visual impact, the exhibition serves as a powerful call for wildlife conservation, raising awareness and support for endangered species through the artists’ charity, Love the Last Wildlife.

  • Americana Floral Installation
    Experience a stunning oversized American flag crafted from dried and preserved red, white, and blue florals, creating a memorable photo moment and patriotic centerpiece.

Elevated Experiences for Adults

  • Oysters & Schramsberg Sparkling Wine Bar on Third Floor Atrium | June 26 – July 5
    Savor freshly shucked oysters, American caviar, and sparkling wine from California-based Schramsberg Vineyards in a refined atrium setting inspired by America’s culinary heritage.
  • A fitting tribute to America’s 250th anniversary, Schramsberg Blanc de Blancs was selected for President Richard Nixon’s historic 1972 “Toast to Peace” in Beijing, marking the first time an American wine was served at a White House state function. This milestone helped establish American sparkling wine on the world stage, and Schramsberg continues its legacy today as a featured selection at White House state dinners and official diplomatic events, celebrating American craftsmanship and hospitality.
